Supercomputer access and membership of the CHPCA
Membership of the CHPCA is open to all researchers at University of Adelaide, Finders University, and the University of South Australia.
Requests for membership should be made by completing an application form.
Applications from other researchers wishing access is possible and will be considered on a case by case basis. Requests for supercomputer access and CHPCA membership should be addressed to the Director or one of the Deputy Directors. Requests will be considered by the Management Committee at the earliest opportunity.
Commercial and industrial users are also welcome. Contact the Director for commercial access conditions, details, and charges.
Pending completion of the new CHPCA supercomputer facility in the second half of 2002, the CHPCA is making available the following resources to its members:
For allocations on these CHPCA resources please apply to chpca@physics.adelaide.edu.au.
- 10% of Orion, (i.e., 4 nodes = 16 processors), which is a 14.4 GFlop resource. Code development and testing should be done on the front end of Orion with the nodes used only for production runs.
- Up to 5 nodes (10 processors) of Perseus. A development cluster is also available for code development and testing.
